Just wanted to share some picture of my hometown meals from Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia.
The first one is “Soto Sulung” (Soto is another word/kind of soup here in Indo) sold in a small food stall called Tropicana…![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGpo777feihpQa73QzfI0EU7n3Kmh6YzcyainuWr2xiDOysvfKXydbeHmbaWXZVbvbWwnvZtt6lamtNFrffxZYuNxwqvAPHZ9JmaMNn0B-5rj5XvTOH2LJIqLt2ILimBVwuzm9f9ZQD0c/s400/Tropicana.jpg)

The second is “Semanggi”, which translate in to clover leaves… and it’s exactly what the name refers to. Steamed clover leaves with some bean sprout on top, covered with a sauce made of cassava, garlic, onion, chili, and some shrimp paste, served on a “pincuk” or banana leaves plates, and uses that big rice cracker as the spoon…

the lady who sells it carry his products on that pile of bamboo basket and place them on her back like a backpack, and walks around nearby areas to sell her product.

Great to see more food from street vendors from across the globe!
