Many of my friends here in the mainland have a lot of tattoos. More than I had seen in Hawaii (though things have changed back home too). I had always wondered though... what's the deal with all these tattoos? They rarely talk about them and I rarely hear about anyone actually getting any of them but they're there. I had to investigate to find out exactly what the deal was.

Is there an etiquette?
Do you say hi to other tattooed people?
