DJ MIKE FUCKING SCRAGGS

At 10:30PM last night my phone was ringing and I thought, who the hell could be calling me this late. It turned out to be no other than Mike Fucking Scraggs.
What's interesting was that he's a radio DJ once a week. I guess this is his usual schedule below, but last night he was on from 9pm to midnight. You can stream it to listen and even watch his show live. I had no clue he had an ongoing radio show. Click below for the Ozcat Radio site:

Mike Scraggs is one of those people that you'll never read about on the internet or get much info in magazines (there's probably more about him in Japanese mags). You'd need to practice the fine art of conversation to get info from guys like this. For well over a decade now, he's been one of the people that I got history on the undocumented black art of hot rod FXR's and the origins of Frisco style choppers.

One of the raddest things he's ever told me was, "you know why we built those Frisco bikes the way we did? it was so they could go fast through cars and you could ride them up the hill as fast as you can to find the bad guys, go beat them up, and get outta the city before the cops showed up."

So much to learn outside of the world wide web.

Grimeca Closes

After 50-something years in business Grimeca has closed their doors and filed for bankruptcy.

FYI, the eye-to-eye on the mounting holes is the same as the PM 162x2 and the 125x4 calipers so you can use their bracket. Ran one of these on a rigid about 10 or 12 years ago and I thought it worked well and looked pretty neat. Nice alternative to the original one piece, cast PM caliper.

Oh, and if I remember correctly you have to either drill out and re-thread the PM bracket to a larger size or find/make new mounting bolts, which was pretty easy on a basic lathe (the mounting holes in the Grimeca caliper are bigger than the similar PM calipers... or were they smaller? I don't care).

FXR FEVER - Mike Fucking Scraggs

Took a moment to clear up some rumors today regarding Chopperguys, world famous for building the toughest and cleanest aftermarket FXR frames (among many others), to dispel any rumors of Chopperguys and Mike Scraggs going belly up.

Considering the economy, it's easy to chalk it up that way when someone isn't answering their regular office line, so I called Mike at home and asked him what the hell was going on.

Here's how it went...

Mike Scraggs: I ain't down and out yet. You can tell everybody to go fuck themselves. I been doing this shit for 40 fucking years. You know anybody who been doing it for 40 years? There's very little of them.

I got a bunch of shit planned right now and all I'm doing is putting it all in one building. I got dead retail space next door, so I'm planning on doing a marijuana dispensary which I already have going, and it's gonna be inside the same building as California Performance Iron and ChopperGuys. It's all legit and I'm selling it. You know, you're from Hawaii, Maui Wowie and Kona Gold.

I'm gonna have a bunch of cool shit to wear too, not no hippie marijuana dispensary faggot shit. I'm gonna have shit that you will feel comfortable wearing down the street. I'm bringing back all my old CPI designs too, all that SS bolts type shit I did years ago.

Right now I got so much fucking wiring to do because I wanna move all my machining equipment and welders over to CPI. It just doesn't have the juice in that building and it's going to cost a lotta money and take some time to get it all going, but by early 2011 I'll be right on top of shit again.

Tell anybody who thinks otherwise that I'm still here. I ain't down and out. I still fuck and fight. I still box twice a week and I still fight and eat pussy.

I got to where I am with all this shit by myself and nobody helped me and I ain't about to give up, far from it.

Lingerie Lunch Wagon

Submitted by Nos:

By Grace Lee

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - There are all types of lunchwagons for local plate lunches, shrimp and Hawaiian food. But there is one in Kalihi that is stirring up some controversy with its lattes served by ladies in lingerie. Is it legal to serve up espresso in nothing but a teddy, panties and a smile?

Looking to go to the wild side? Then head to the corner of Puuhale Road and Dillingham Boulevard. Just across from OCCC you'll find the Wild Bean Espresso truck.

"And to look at girls dressed so nice, why not?" said barista Natasha.

Why not, indeed. The coffee and smoothie truck hopes to improve your day with your beverage of choice all served up in lingerie.

"Yeah I feel comfortable. It's sexy" said Natasha.

Open for about six weeks it attracts primarily male customers. None would talk to us on camera, but some say they stopped because they saw it passing by. Others say it's a great way to start the day.

"It was crazy already. I've been here for three hours. But it's really crazy for all of us."

On the menu all kinds of smoothies with sexy names, but this reporter decided to try something a little more traditional, a white chocolate mocha latte. So how does it taste at the Wild Bean Espresso? Not too bad. You can't really complain about the coffee itself. But there have been complaints about the clothes.

"This is right up in your face!" said Utufaasili McDermott.

McDermott is the mother of eight and has attended St. Anthony's Church for years.

"Do you have to wear that? Do you have to wear a thong and see through clothing so people can buy your coffee?"

McDermott believes the Wild Bean should be moved elsewhere, not two blocks away from Puuhale Elementary and a block from St. Anthony's Church and School.

"Is this the appropriate place to have your business? Where you know school will be starting soon and it's highly congested with children?" said McDermott.

Whether it's appropriate is debatable.

"Who wears a teddy in broad daylight? I don't wear a teddy in broad daylight."

As far as its legality, the State Department of Health says they don't judge on the morality of the establishment. As long as their clothes are clean and not interfering with the products they are making they are permitted to operate.
