Every time I'm in San Pedro I have to stop into this place to eat. The burritos are fucking amazing:
As me and Big Vinny wait for our food, I keep telling him how god damn good the food is here. Vinny's like "yeah, yeah, we'll see..."
I started off with a small bowl of Menudo, just the right starter after a long night of drinking, but what I was waiting for was the big ass Carnitas Burrito:
Vinny went with a Carne Asada burrito. I'm not an Asada guy but after a few bites Big V was telling me how fucking good his burrito was!:
Ah here we go, this is what I've been waiting for big hunks of pork cooked just like my mom does a little crunchy on the outside and tender in the middle!!! I chomp down into my first bite and I'm like what the fuck this isn't what I ordered!!! Big V jumped up with ninja-like speed and ran into the kitchen and came out dragging the cook back toward our table!!! Just kidding... Big V was so into his burrito and didn't even hear me. What I got instead of my favorite carnitas was my co-favorite - Chile Verde!!!
Pretty much the same thing but the pork is slow cooked in green sauce, hence the verde part either way I was super stoked as always and carried on:

ReplyDeleteIt ended up being a place that Jose had taken me to, at least 2 or 3 years ago, but I totally forgot what it was like.
What Dustin had, Chile Verde, was one of two most favorite and popular dishes at Maria's... and that green sauce was fucking incredible. Best Chile Verde I ever had.
I can't wait 'til Picu's on Isla Mujeres this Octobre . . .
